Turmeric (Curcuma longa). Common Common Names: Curcumin, Jiang Huang

This organic Turmeric from India can ease pain, inflammation, osteoarthritis, hay fever, depression, high cholesterol, Crohn disease, asthma, itching, gingivitis (as mouthwash), Fibromyalgia, and COPD.

Warnings: Possibly not safe if pregnant, nursing, have gallbladder problems, GERD, or are a man trying to have a baby. Stop taking 2 weeks before surgery. Slows blood clotting.

FYI, watch out for "cheap" turmeric, it often has yellow peas added to make it cheaper, so it won't be as effective.

Directions: Use as a seasoning or tea.

For Tea: Barely boil 8 oz water, add 1 teaspoon of the loose herbs (you can use a tea ball, french press, or other way to strain herbs or leave them in the tea for a super strong brew), steep 10 to 15 minutes. Sweeten with a natural sweetener if desired.

Nurture your body with 1 to 3 cups a day.
