Turtle Shell, Red Eared Slider, 10’

10" Red Eared Slider (Trachemys scripta elegans) Turtle Shell. These turtles are considered an exotic invasive aquatic species. These particular turtles were captive breeding turtles. When the pond dried up, the choice was made to end their lives rather than releasing them into the wild to starve.

These shells can be used to make rattles, purses, sit on your altar, or whatever you feel led to do.
