Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica). 1 oz. Common Names: Indian pennywort
Organic, dried, cut/sifted leaves from India are an adaptogen that may increase memory, cognition, longevity & promotes healthy brain function. Useful for ADD/ADHD in children & adults. Reduces stress, anxiety, depression, inflammation, boosts the immune system, circulation, musculoskeletal, & cardiovascular systems. Improves thyroid function. Internally & topically; it helps heal wounds, even the digestive tract, eczema & psoriasis. It is a diuretic.

Warning: Use caution during pregnancy. As with other saponin-rich herbs, it might be inappropriate or should be dosed at low levels for people with fat malabsorption issues, deficiency of vitamins A, D, E, and K, some upper GI irritation & cholestasis (Mills and Bone, 2005). Symptoms of overdose include headache, dizziness, stupor, & bloody stools (Bastyr University, 2003).
Directions:
For Tea: Barely boil 8 oz. water, add 1 teaspoon of the loose herbs (you can use a tea ball, french press, or other way to strain herbs or leave them in the tea for a super strong brew), steep 10 to 15 minutes. Sweeten with a natural sweetener if desired.
