These dried shrub leaves from the Amazon are used to treat diabetes, vaginal inflammation, menstrual regulator, inflammation of the throat, urinary tract infections and general healing.
As Tea: Boil 8 oz water, add 1 teaspoon of the herbs (you can use a tea ball, french press, or other way to strain herbs if you don't want it to be as "earthy"), steep 15 minutes, drink warm or cool. Sweeten as desired.
Add to your hot coffee.
Start with one cup a day, increasing up to 3 cups a day if you want. The best results vary per person. You may need to drink it for a week or so to start seeing a noticeable difference.
Vaginal anti-inflammatory: Use the tea as a vaginal wash.
Swelling of the throat: One teaspoon in half a liter of boiling water. Apply in the form of gargles.
