When used in ceremonial doses, it opens the heart chakra, aids in a stronger connection to the Spirit realms and to your higher self. It inspires creativity, bring focus, energy, peace, and healing.
Taste: Bitter, earthy, coffee, vanilla, fruity.

For your Cacao personal Ceremony:
A heroic dose: Add 6 tablespoons of cacao to 7 oz of barely boiling water. Use a whisk to stir until it's blended some and you have a froth on top. (only drink about half if you're new to this, then wait an hour to drink the rest) Can cause nausea, diarrhea, and headaches at first, so take your time! You do not need to start with a heroic ceremonial dose!
You can drink it like this, but it's very bitter. If you must sweeten, I suggest something natural. Honey, agave, cinnamon, cardamom, or vanilla.
Eat lightly before your ceremony, don't be full. Don't add milk! When you're all done, eat something dense (red fruit, nuts, seeds) to help you ground.
