Cold, Flu & Lung Conditions (Bushy Matgrass, Cannonball, Mucura, Reishi, West Indian Nettle, Wild Garlic).
This blend of herbs is to help you when you're not well, to speed up your recovery time & help you be more comfortable. These herbs treat the common cold, the flu, the lungs (including pneumonia, bronchitis, and asthma) while it boosts your immune system.
Warnings: Drink only while sick, not meant for long term use. Example: Drink for 2 weeks, then don't drink for a week. Long term use can cause stomach issues.
Not safe during pregnancy or for those that are, nursing, have an auto-immune disease, Leukemia, blood disorders, or low blood pressure. Do not take if you are on medications changed by the liver, or immuno-suppressants
For tea: Boil 8 oz water, add 1 teaspoon of the herbs to a tea ball or french press (it's not necessary to strain, but it's easier to drink) steep 15 minutes, drink warm or cool. Sweeten as desired.
Drink up to 3 times a day while you aren't feeling well. Long term use can cause stomach problems, so only drink when you are sick or having trouble breathing. If you need a long term blend for asthma, please contact us.
For tincture (our favorite way): Add half a cup (100 grams )to 4 cups of preferred alcohol (vodka, rum, brandy) or vinegar. Let set 7 days or more. You can scale the recipe down, but be sure to use a container that you're filling up to the rim to prevent mold.
Take a 1 oz shot 3 times a day until you are better. It's okay to add the tincture to a bit of juice to make it easier to drink. I suggest hold your breath and chug it and have a chaser ready.
If you are feeling really sick, and have a fever, you can alternate a shot of tincture with a cup of tea every 4 hours. Stop if it's upsetting your stomach.
