Chuchuhausi  (Maytenus macrocarpa).

This tree bark is used to treat stress (emotional or physical) nerve damage, diarrhea, dysentery, arthritis, rheumatism, lower back & joint pain. Chuchuhausi is also used to treat bronchitis, bacterial and viral infections, to help women heal after childbirth, and as a muscle relaxer, menstrual regulator, aphrodisiac and reconstituting regulator.
Can apply the tea to skin or bath as an astringent and anti-septic, or to treat skin cancer.
Contains alkaloids, tannin's, coumarins, saponins. Mimics estrogen.
Chuchuhausi is one of the Master Teacher plants used in dietas. It is used to enter the spirit realm, especially if drank before bed.
Warning: Do not use if you have an estrogen-positive cancer.

For Bath: To relieve pain or treat skin conditions.

As a seasoning, especially in rum.

For Tea: Boil 8 oz water, add 1 teaspoon of the herbs (you can use a tea ball, french press, or other way to strain herbs if you don't want it to be as "earthy"), steep 15 minutes, drink warm or cool. Sweeten as desired, I prefer honey.

Add to your hot coffee or tea, let sit 15 minutes, drink it up.

Start with one cup a day, increasing up to 3 cups a day if you want. The best results vary per person. You may need to drink it for a week or so to start seeing a noticeable difference.

For tincture:  Add half a cup (100 grams) to 4 cups of preferred alcohol (vodka, rum, brandy) or vinegar. Let set 7 days or more. You can scale the recipe down, but be sure to use a container that you're filling up to the rim to prevent mold.

Take a sip 3 times a day. It's okay to add the tincture to a bit of juice to make it easier to drink. I suggest hold your breath and chug it and have a chaser ready.
