Bushy Matgrass - Pampa oregano (Lippia alba)
These ground leaves and branches of the Amazonian bushy matgrass are used to treat an upset stomach (especially when caused by over-eating), gas, gastritis, liver colic, diabetes, hypertension, inflammation, diarrhea, insomnia, colds, flues, and tachycardia.
Preparation and administration:
For Seasoning: In soups and cooked vegetables.
As a bath: To reduce fever and stomach pain.
For Tea: Boil 8 oz water, add 1 teaspoon of the herbs (you can use a tea ball, french press, or other way to strain herbs if you don't want it to be as "earthy"), steep 15 minutes, drink warm or cool. Sweeten as desired, I prefer honey.
Add to your hot coffee or tea, let sit 15 minutes, drink it up.
