Anise Seed (Pimpinella anisum I.).
These whole Anise seeds from Egypt are use to treat asthma, bronchitis, stomach problems, and indigestion. It's an excellent source of vitamins that tastes and smells like black licorice.
Preparation and administration:
For Tea: Boil 8 oz water, add 1 teaspoon of the herbs (you can use a tea ball, french press, or other way to strain herbs if you don't want it to be as "earthy"), steep 15 minutes, drink warm or cool. Sweeten as desired.
As Seasoning: It's used to flavor teas, breads, stews, fruits, liquors, and more.
To freshen breath: Chew a couple seeds after eating.
