Acai Fruit - Huasai (Euterpe oleracea).
This is the dried, ground acai fruit pulp. It's darker in color, weighs more, and is "wetter" than the last batch!
It is used to help you lose weight, as an antioxidant to prevent diseases, to release physical and physic energy, and as a food supplement. It contains anthranols, aurones, strong and weak fixed acids, catechins, chalcones, coumarins, steroids, simple phenols, leucoanthocyanidins, flavonones, quinones, saponins, tannins.
As a tea: Boil 8 oz water, add 1 teaspoon of the herbs (you can use a tea ball, french press, or other way to strain herbs if you don't want it to be as "earthy"), steep 15 minutes, drink warm or cool. Sweeten as desired.
As a seasoning: Sprinkle a teaspoon onto your food or add to a drink to sweeten it a little. I love it in my oatmeal. Only have 1 teaspoon daily.
