Paico - (Chenopodium ambrosioides L.). Common names: Epazote, Paico, Mexican Tea.
Wild-crafted. This dried whole plant from the Amazon is used to cleanse & protect the liver, relieve menstrual pain, gas, heartburn, & diarrhea. May ease
Has vitamins C, B, & A, iron, magnesium, potassium & zinc.
Warnings: Do not drink if pregnant or trying to become pregnant. Can cause miscarriage and/or birth defects.
As a tea: Boil 4 cups of water add only One teaspoon of the herbs. Cover and let sit. Drink up to 3 cups a day. You can strain before drinking.
As a seasoning: Popular in Mexican dishes.
For skin infections: Boil 2 tablespoons in 8 cups of water for 3 minutes. Cool, strain, apply to affected area.
For parasite removal: Boil 2 cups of water, add One teaspoon herbs. Cover and let sit until cool. Drink everything. You can strain if you need to. Drink once a day for up to 3 days. Then wait at least 14 days to repeat parasite cleanse.
