Anise Stars (Illicium verum). Common Names: Chinese anise.
Organic. Kosher. From China ease lung inflammation, bronchitis, cough, flu, inflammation and respiratory tract infections. Boost libido and can be used by women to promote menstruation.
Taste: Similar to licorice.

Directions:
For Tea: Boil 8 oz water, add 1 teaspoon of the loose herbs (you can use a tea ball, french press, or other way to strain herbs or leave them in the tea for a super strong brew), steep 3 to 15 minutes. Sweeten with a natural sweetener if desired.

As a seasoning: Add 1/4 teaspoon to your deserts and baking. Europeans use Anise Star in cakes, cookies, and sweet breads. In the Middle East and India, it is used in soups and stews. Its licorice-like flavor is also popular in candies, and its oil is often used in fine liqueurs.
